The suppliers behind an accredited stay
Ask a guest what they remember about a holiday and you rarely hear about the house. You hear about the bakery, the boat, the person who knew where to go.
That is why accreditation starts with suppliers rather than with the property. A beautiful home with nothing around it is a beautiful home. A beautiful home with a baker, a grower, a brewer and a guide attached to it is a stay.
Who we mean by suppliers
- Producers. Farms, bakeries, dairies, smokehouses, market gardens. The people whose work fills the welcome hamper and the kitchen.
- Makers. Potters, weavers, furniture makers, distillers. The people whose work a guest notices in the house and then goes looking for.
- Experience providers. Chefs, skippers, guides, instructors. The people who turn an afternoon into something a guest could not have booked online.
What we ask of an accredited property
Every accredited property names its suppliers, uses them, and tells guests who they are. That is the whole of it, and it is harder than it sounds, because it means building relationships rather than placing orders.
We help where we can. Owners joining the collection get introductions to producers and makers already working with us in their area, and those businesses get a route to guests who are actively looking for them.
What suppliers get back
A supplier profile on this site, named credit in the properties that use them, and a steady flow of guests who arrived already knowing the name. No commission, no listing fee.
If you produce, make or guide somewhere we accredit properties, we would like to hear from you.
Stay somewhere that gives back
Every Immaculette home is accredited for the welcome it gives guests and for the money that welcome keeps in its local economy. Ask us about an accredited stay, or about accreditation for your own property.
